Photographs 2 to 12 are various pages from microfilm of the Published Colonial Records of the American Colonies, and the Archives in North Carolina and Tennessee.
Photographs 14 to 19 are from the transcriptions of the minutes of the Claiborne County, Tennessee Court Sessions.
Photographs 21 to 26 are various records for Hunts’s purchases or sales of land. The subdivision and renaming counties and states causes confusion. In 1787 Hawkins County was formed from Sullivan. In 1801 Claiborne was formed from Hawkins and Grainger counties. The Territory South of the River Ohio existed from 1790 to 1796.
