A Message From The Society President

As the society begins its new year of holding quarterly meetings open to the public and featuring programs related to historical interests, we look forward to being an agency of collecting, preserving and recording the history of Huntsville and Madison County.

We also look forward to linking our society with the community and others throughout the state and entire south with a new web site. This web site will be created for the public to read and explore period documents, letters, photographs and other historical information.

We are very appreciative of the work that was done in the previous administrations. It is wonderful to become acquainted with the operation of the society and get to know such a cadre of very able, dedicated people without whom this society would not be able to achieve what it has over the past 50 years.
